Vincentz Network and Nürnberg Messe jointly report that due to ongoing global travel restrictions, the leading trade show for the international coatings industry has been cancelled. However, overlapping European coating conferences will continue to be held digitally.
After careful consultation with exhibitors and industry representatives, the Vincentz Eurocoats and NürnbergMesse organizers have decided to cancel the Eurocoats launch in September 2021. The overlapping European Coatings Conference will continue to be held digitally on September 13-14, 2021. The European Coatings Show will resume as usual from 28 to 30 March 2023.
“The situation in Germany is stabilizing and the political figures for the exhibition in Bavaria are ready, but unfortunately the next ECS cannot be held until March 2023,” commented Alexander Mattausch, exhibition director at NürnbergMesse. “At the moment, the positive outlook is not yet prevailing, meaning that international travel will resume at a slower pace than we would like. But for those European coatings shows that we know and appreciate – from over 120 exhibitors and visitors to the global industry, rallying the country – a faster recovery is critical.”
Amanda Beyer, Director of Events at Vincentz Network, added: “For European Coatings, the Nuremberg exhibition site is home to the global coatings industry every two years. Due to ongoing travel restrictions, we cannot be sure that we will be able to meet our current commitments. A decision must be made in order to host the largest flagship ECS exhibition. In the interest of an industry with members operating all over the world, we have taken the solemn decision to cancel the exhibition in this We are delighted to be able to offer an alternative digital congress in September, international industry can meet virtually to share knowledge and strengthen ties We will meet again in March 2023 when we meet in Nuremberg to catch up on everything we don’t have been able to do in recent months and we look forward to meeting again in this way.”
